Blog Insights and Vision Board Progress
I have just a couple of brief thoughts I want to share with you today. Today, I flipped through magazines to cut out some pictures and words that spoke to me. A lot of what I cut out evoked feelings of happiness, excitement, and/or motivation. I won't use everything shown in the picture below, but I also expect to draft some words/images that I couldn't find in the magazines. Stay tuned for the final. I'm hoping to complete by week's end.
The second and final thought is about this blog. Having commenced this blog just over one week ago, I reflected on the experience thus far. What's worked well. Where's there opportunity for improvement? I identified these three take-aways (this is not a comprehensive list):
- I really enjoy writing. However, I'm better at it when I have more time to devote to it. Duh.
- I am immensely proud of myself for just getting started - even if it meant I wasn't as prepared and/or knowledgeable as a new blogger should be.
- I'm dropping the "Dear Diary" salutation at the beginning of each entry, starting today. Not only did it feel awkward, I found myself making corrections to ensure conformity with how a personal diary entry would read. Writing to an audience, even if no one is reading, is more my style. Engaging others in this consciousness dialog is a goal of mine, as you all know. To that end, I may now pose questions to readers in a blog post.
Feel free to comment on FB about whether you've done a vision board. I'd love to see a picture if you have! (Oh, and I have one more step in my attempts to rebalance. More to come about that tomorrow.)
