So, Day 14 was another struggle.
My daughter and I attended a volunteer event in the morning. Prior to departing, I ate some yogurt and packed some Chex Mix snack mix for my daughter to eat in case she got hungry before we could eat lunch.
While at the volunteer event, my husband texted to inform me that our kitty needed to go to the emergency veterinarian clinic. My daughter and I left the volunteer event and went to the clinic. We were there for hours. I snacked a bit on some of the Chex Mix, but not much...just enough to keep my "hangriness" in check.
By the time we all got home, we were starving. I made good and bad choices. I had raw cauliflower, along with some cashews and a few potato chips. (Immense hunger had me reaching for anything.)
For dinner, I had a quesadilla and some Spanish rice. Afterward, I had such an intense craving for something sweet. I had cupcakes and truffles and ice cream at my fingertips. I'm happy to say I was able to stay away from all that stuff.
Here's to small victories! Hoping for many more!
