It's Wellness Wednesday!
In our busy, congested, jam-packed lives, sleep is too often sacrificed. We caffeinate ourselves to wake up and get through the day. We hustle to work, kids activities, and any number of other functions only to find ourselves staying up late after the kids go to bed because it's often the only free/quiet time we have.
This is so me. Many a night after my kid goes to bed, I often stay up late to work on my business or volunteer efforts, or to scroll through FB — aimlessly or purposefully. And recently, I've done so just to catch up on Season 1 of This Is Us. (We're on a mission to catch up to the current schedule!)
I’ve sacrificed sleep the past couple of days because I got some big goals and big to-do's. So tonight I’m taking the night off. While the to-do list will be just as long tomorrow as it is today, at least I know my brain will be refreshed to tackle it tomorrow.
And, for those interested, I will happily share that I am down a total of seven pounds since mid-September. Yay me! Although I am not convinced I will reach my weight loss goal of 15 pounds by Thanksgiving, I believe I’ll get pretty close. And that's ok with me.
Be open to what comes.
