So, I weighed myself today and I've lost another pound. So, I'm down a total of five pounds since starting this 18 days ago. I'm so excited!
I'd LOVE to lose the weight faster, but again, I know that's neither healthy nor sustainable. I am constantly reminding myself that "slow and steady" wins the race.
What I love the most about this process is that I don't feel deprived. I still eat really tasty meals and snacks. I make my own chocolate chip cookies! I bake my own cashew muffins! (Don't knock 'em 'til you try 'em!) I had a strawberry smoothie over the weekend. I've had cereals like Frosted Flakes and Honey Nut Cheerios!
Although I am NOT eating like a rabbit, I DO feel like I'm restricted...and I am. I can't expect a different result if I don't make a change. And, it's ME that wants the change. I'm not changing because I was told to. I'm not changing because of anyone else, but me. So, I'm more willing to deal with the restriction because I WANT the change.
So, here's to additional weight loss and feeling my best.
Be open to what comes.
