Day 19 of 30 and my cravings are subsiding a bit. Whew!
Given I lost more than 30 pounds a few years ago, I don't expect the cravings to be a roller coaster. I expect the cravings to continue to decrease. When I say cravings, I mean SERIOUS, INTENSE cravings for things with white flour and sugar like breads and regular cookies and cakes.
Over the past few days, I've had plenty of temptations. We took our daughter to the ice cream shop yesterday and I shared a strawberry smoothie with my husband. Today my daughter offered me an ice cream cone. I declined. Earlier today I was offered candy from a coworker. I also declined. There's more where that came from and I've held my own.
As far as the temptations are concerned, some have been hard to turn down - no doubt. However, most of the recent temptations were more easily denied than prior ones. So, that is something I celebrate.
Be open to what comes.
