Short and sweet today...
I'm checking out.
I'm still run down from the past two weeks. I'm short-tempered. I'm low on energy. I'm low on my get-up-and-go.
I must admit that this is atypical for me. But, it's not unfamiliar. I've been in this space before. After all that I've been through the past few months, especially since Thanksgiving, I'm not shocked that I'm tapped out.
I got a wonderful night's rest last night. I intend on doing that again this evening.
I also intend on just checking out for a bit. I'm going to catch up on some TV shows that I haven't seen. I'm going to read a few pages of a book. I'm going to play with my daughter. I'm going to intentionally do NOTHING.
Checking out is not irresponsible. It's necessary sometimes in order to get back in the game of life in an engaging and enthusiastic way.
Be open to what comes.
