This past week was particularly difficult, specifically because of a roller coaster ride of emotions related to a health issue that I thought I had under control. The week also offered some beautiful moments with my daughter that put a smile on my face. Here's my week in review.
Sunday: I had a meaningful conversation with my daughter that reinvigorated me and reminded me why I blog.
Monday: My 100th post! Instead of a celebratory post, I was under protest because of a recurring health problem. Damnit...
Tuesday: I started to feel better, which was able to help me move forward. But, I ended up questioning how open I really was to being open to what comes, especially when it's bad.
Wednesday: My health issue returned. Damnit. God set me straight though, putting me in the path of many who had struggles of their own, way worse than mine. Made me realize, we all have stuff we're going through. We all have a story.
Thursday: In response to Elizabeth Gilbert's Is Your Soul Appalled FB post, I conveyed that at one time my soul was appalled. I don't believe we're intended to have an easy life. But, I do believe it's much easier when. we follow our soul's desires.
Friday: One incredibly brief moment with my daughter made me excited for her maturity and simultaneously mourn the days of her childhood that have already passed. I wish she could slow down a bit.
Be open to what comes.
