So, today marks our official end to summer. Summer break is over and school starts tomorrow.
We had a blast spending the last four days celebrating the end of summer with our daughter. Starting with Mom/Daughter day, followed by Dad/Daughter day, followed by two days filled with dining out, shopping, games, movies, and more.
I had to fill out a form today for my daughter's new teacher. I answered questions regarding her strengths, interests, and goals. It was quite possibly my most conscious moment of the day. I thought hard about what to say. It made me realize just how much my little girl is growing up.
To that end, I couldn't be happier that we consciously took time out these last four days to focus on her. It's times like these that I will never, ever regret.
Be open to what comes.
