Day 2 of this health journey is in the books.
First thing this morning, I had a bowl of Frosted Flakes cereal. I know...not the best decision. BUT, it was a DECISION. I consciously chose it. Why? Because I had a craving for it the evening before and didn't indulge then. I still wanted it in the AM, and so I decided to consume the cereal.
I remained conscious throughout the day. I consumed mostly healthy food, including yogurt, blueberries, baked fish, zucchini, and green beans. I did eat one truffle from that darn candy store that I went to last week. It was delicious. I savored every bite.
In addition to making conscious choices, I also gave some thought about my desired end goal. If I'm being honest, I'd love to lose 50 lbs. Setting my sights on something that daunting is intimidating right now though. So, my short term goals include:
- Remaining conscious of my choices...every day, every meal, every bite.
- Eating more whole food than processed food.
- Losing 15 lbs by Thanksgiving.
My goals may change a bit as I continue this journey. We'll see where it goes...
