It's Day 9 of 30 and things are still going well. I don't want to bore you with what I ate each and every day, but today I'm going to share what I ate, just to give you an idea, especially if you're interested in playing along.
- One cup of yogurt with probiotics and prebiotics.
- One cup of blueberries
- One Luna bar (chocolate chip coconut)
- A few carrot sticks with veggie dip
- Two "healthy" chocolate chip cookies
- Salmon with green beans and a sweet potato with butter
- One chocolate cupcake with minimal low-sugar icing
I've been staying away from eating snacks at night, but decided to indulge this evening. Why? Because we made them from scratch on Sunday (new recipe) and I hadn't tasted them yet. They turned out pretty well! I'm glad I indulged. (I was very conscious and used only about 1 tbsp of icing, if that.)
I'm happy to say that most of the foods I consume are whole, meaning that they aren't packaged. From the list above, you can see that I consumed a Luna bar, which is clearly packaged. The only other thing I ate that came from a package was the icing. (I paid a pretty penny for that icing specifically because it was lower in sugar. After making the cupcakes from scratch, I honestly didn't feel like making the icing from scratch too.)
You can also see from the list that I'm not deprived. On average, I eat every 3 hours or so. And, I am eating things I enjoy. While I could lose weight faster eating like a rabbit each and every day, I know that doesn't work long-term for me. I'm happy to lose it slowly in hopes of keeping it off in the end.
Be open to what comes.
