So today was a bit of a struggle. I was hungry, but working so much that I couldn't take a break to eat. I finally stopped to eat late in the afternoon. I scarfed down my yogurt, blueberries, protein bar, and healthy chocolate chip cookies.
It's days like today that I'm glad I bring in my lunch/snacks. I KNOW that if I had not prepared, I would have leaned on unhealthy options - they seem to be way more abundant in my workspaces and travels than healthy options. So, if I ensure healthy options are at the ready, then I'm better prepared.
With that said, I was so hungry that I lost sight of the taste, texture and smell of my food. I want to eat slowly and appreciate every bite. I did NOT do that today.
Here's to hoping that I slow down more than I scarf down.
